OVERSIZED GOLD SMAUG POP

So, yesterday I went to see the midnight showing of the third hobbit film. What does this have to do with funkos you ask? Well, yesterday, my oversized gold Smaug funko made an appearance. I was quite possibly the most excited I have ever been about a funko ever and he totally did not let me down!
Just so you can see how oversized he is, here is a picture of him with Legolas and invisible Bilbo.

He is a very majestic creature! And he came along to see the film with us, you can follow him on Instagram by searching for smaugypop!

Newbie!

So, today another new member of my collection arrived, and actually replaced an existing funko!  SDCC Exclusive flocked Rocket Raccoon arrived, replacing my standard Rocket He's actually pretty cool because he's got a little fur rather than being all plastic! He was actually an order from Pop in a Box, and I have my mystery pop and another order arriving next week!
So without further ado, here he is:

So today, these beauties arrived, one of these is  a PX Preview exclusive, and they take my collection up to a nice 23, 3 of which are deadpool!

More Newbies

Ok, so I know I said last night that I wouldn't be doing any more posts this week, but that's because I wasn't anticipating the arrival of this beauty just yet. Ordered from America, this is the Wal-Mart exclusive black and white Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead! Really, really impressed with how quickly he was delivered, I ordered him 9 days ago and he is here already! The only problem is.. I'm quickly running out of shelf space!
So, here he is...

More Newbies!

So at Collectormania yesterday I picked up a couple of other newbies, sadly neither of them are exclusives, but I have ordered a PX Previews exclusive Deadpool as well as a grey Deadpool unmasked variant!
So my wonderful new additions are:
Daenerys in blue and Arkham Joker, which means that I now have all of the Daenerys variants, apart from the exclusives, and my Harley has a Joker!

Now, in theory from this point on, I will only be posting to this blog once a week, because I'll only be buying new funkos once a week! That's bad isn't it?

Today's New Arrivals.

So, today I had a delivery of three new funkos, two from pop in a box, and one from ebay.
We'll start with my pop in a box deliveries. One was a Harley Quinn with mallet, which I ordered. She's a variant on the regular Harley, obviously because she has a mallet! The other was my mystery pop, which I have been dying to receive, because I really wanted to know who it was! The wait was totally worth it, and today I received Maggie Greene from the walking dead, which ties in perfectly with my ebay arrival.. Headless Hershel!

So my updated collection now looks a little like this:
Drogo, Daenerys with dragon, Drogon, Daenerys in her wedding dress, Ghost, and Tyrion in his battle armour (Game of Thrones), SDCC exclusive headless Hershel Greene and Maggie Greene (The Walking Dead), Alcide and Eric (True Blood), SDCC exclusive bloody Billy (Saw), Legolas and Bilbo (The Hobbit) Rocket Raccoon, LFCC exclusive Stan Lee, Deadpool, SDCC exclusive bloody Hannibal Lecter (from the TV series), and Harley Quinn with her mallet.

I've been really good so far this week and haven't ordered any from ebay or pop in a box, but with it being collectormania tomorrow, that it bound to change!

Ok, I decided to create this blog to share my love of all things funko pop. I am a pretty avid collector and spend an unholy amount of time trawling through ebay looking for exclusives, so far I've done pretty well, and I have an SDCC exclusive blood spattered Hannibal Lecter, from the TV series, an SDCC exclusive glow in the dark blood spattered Billy from Saw, an LFCC exclusive Stan Lee, and I've managed to order an SDCC headless Hershel Greene (he comes with a head, but you can pull it off) and a walmart exclusive black and white Daryl Dixon.

So my entire collection (not just the exclusives!) so far looks a bit like this:

When Hershel and Daryl arrive there will be pictures to follow!

I'm a member of a site called popinabox which is a really cool site because they send me a mystery pop every month, all for less than £12. Basically what you do is sign up to the site, and then you can go through their list of pops and select ones you already have, so you don't get duplicates, ones that you want and ones that you don't want, plus you can order funkos direct from them and pre-order new funkos. I'm currently waiting for my first mystery pop and it's more than a little painful! It's actually killing me!

Now on top of my collection of funkos, my two-year-old James also has 11, and he thinks they're great, a lot of his are christmas presents, so they're still boxed, but others are his to play with, and I'm really impressed he hasn't broken any yet!

So I will be updating this blog whenever I get a new funko for either me or James, and since this weekend is Collectormania in Milton Keynes, I will undoubtedly be buying a lot more!
